A Communications Specialist is responsible for managing and executing various communication activities to promote an organization's messages and enhance its public image.
They create and distribute content through different channels, such as websites, social media, and press releases.
They may also assist with internal communications and support marketing and public relations initiatives.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Communications Specialist :
$100,000 - $120,000 Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

Communications Specialist Responsibilities Include:
Maintains the SharePoint sites for the CBP Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Program Management Office, which includes posting, updating and maintaining the sites and their permissions.
Resolves any SharePoint issues and troubleshoot any on-going problems with the sites.
Develops all necessary InfoPath forms to support SharePoint Interface.
Writes, reviews and edits any agency wide communication.
Manages, as required, the Daily Deliverables and taskers which includes notifying the responsible parties of the request and coordinating/submitting responses.
Administers WebTELE (directory) information for MSF PMO.
Manages the update process for MSF PMO Position Descriptions.
Manages and updates the MSF PMO organizational charts.
Serves as point-of-contact for compiling and submitting monthly PowerPoint slide updates for routine senior leadership meetings.
Supports the data management and use of the TRIRIGA Real Property Information Management System.
Develops communication briefings, flyers, information papers, power point presentations, and form communication memorandums.
Develops and manages the weekly and monthly newsletter Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Communications Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
BA Degree in communication, design, or related field and 5 years of related experience supporting Federal Agencies.
Knowledge of Sharepoint use and management Proficient in the use of Adobe and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong communication skills Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication analysis, and interpersonal skills.
Must hold and maintain a public trust clearance.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
